The Nike Drop No One Knew About

Oh Nike, you dangle “the ten” collection in front of us Americans but offer the rest of the world something even more exclusive (and affordable!) While we were all too busy watching Megan Rapinoe, Julie Ertz, and the rest of the USWNT claw, and quite literally, kick their way to victory, Nike offered France a prize of its own. The Unité Totale collection silhouettes the 2019 France women’s national team’s kits, with “Nos Differences Nous Unissent” (Our Differences Unite Us) inked on several pairs of the shoes to highlight the diversity within the team.

The collection was released just about everywhere but the United States, if you go on an international Nike site, it will prompt you to select your country between the country in which Nike site you are on, or America (since it pings where your IP address is from.) If you select America, it kindly redirects you to the American site and tells you that the item you are looking for, in essence, doesn’t exist…though you just saw it, in my case, on the South African site. So yes, this collection is exclusive and so darn cute, let’s take a look at what it includes:

  • Air Jordan 1 Mid

  • Air Max 98 Premium (White)

  • Air Max 98 Premium (Navy)

  • Air Max 270

  • Air Max 720

  • Air Max Dia SE

  • Air Max Plus TN

  • Benassi JDI

  • Benassi Slide Lux

  • Epic React FK2

  • React Element 55

  • Vapormax 2019

  • Zoom 2K

After dropping $242 on a pair of Vapormax 2019 from StockX, I can confirm that they are worth it. Very stylish, clean, and comfortable. If you live in America and are looking to find a pair from the collection, try StockX.com or GOAT.com, though sizes are extremely limited. Happy hunting!
